about

(Aug 2, 2017) I've listened several times to this talk, "The Crying and the Laughing" and every single time it has reduced me to tears. Or, perhaps I should say LIFTED me to tears. And the funny thing is that reading the words as an essay does not have the same effect. But, hearing those same words coming through Joan Suval seemed to hit me like a lightening bolt. She shares a profoundly moving message from her teacher, Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati - a message that brings empowerment and unexpected comfort. Finally, this is a talk that offers clear and practical instructions - encouraging us to stop our endless striving for perfection and to embrace instead the TOTAL experience of living. Review by Christine (Janaki) Gruder (All proceeds go to Ananda Ashram).
